01. SUPERMARKETS

People are just people,
they don’t know what they’re after.
Thought you were gliding fast but I’m falling faster.
I better wear a helmet this could be a disaster.
A jump from a mountain onto the mattress.
Oh what? What will I do with you?
Oh what? What will I do with you?
Oh what, what will I do with you?
I’m lying on the ceiling of this room
People are just people,
they don’t know what they’re after.
Swimming in supermarkets looking for answers.
At least we’ll walk on water when it turns into plastic.
But I swear you could grow some trees from the bathroom floor.
Oh what? What will I do with you?
Oh what? What will I do with you?
Oh what, what will I do with you?
I’m lying on the ceiling of this room

02. YELLO/CONCRETE

I’ve always found it hard to work things through.
Still never felt to bad bout leaving school, oh my god!
I’ve always found it hard to work things through
but maybe if you have a minute,
maybe we could talk a little.
Please take some time off your day x2
It’s nothing, yeah, I’ll be fine.
Running fast but I’m still behind.
All my life through yellow lights.
You go on cause I’ll take a while. x2
I quit doing handstands, always on my two feet.
Like weather forecast, not as seen on tv.
I thought that I could fly but truly I don’t,
keep tripping over the horizon.
It’s just a matter of survival for me.
And sometimes I think that I could reach Orion
by jumping off a ramp but somehow
still wearing trainers that are made of concrete.

03. DRAW

Sometimes I wish that I could draw,
that I could grow up,
I could show you everything I see:
a beam of boredom every morning,
feeling that Earth’s always spinning,
and it’s coming for me. x2
Still feeling like windows ’98
so grey, so slow, cause I don’t understand the world
and all it takes’s a little patience.
I dropped out of college I’ll call that vacation.
Been swimming with flip flops for years in rotation,
but that’s just what happened to my generation.
These 50-year-olds say I need a profession
but I’m paying taxes, they’re winning elections.
With people still searching for sanity rentals,
I guess you can call it the price of regression.
Been painting my room with these Freudian projections,
got 24/20 (vision) but still no perception.
So...
Turns out I can’t see
without closing my eyes.

I geniunely feel you don't need to know the lyrics of this one cause they don't mean much. In fact, this song was originally called "unnecessary bland jazz progression".

05. ULTRAVIOLET w/Ivy Sole

I don’t know where I would go
without these feathers
I’d not reach the sun and melt right back to Earth
with lunar objects in my pockets.
I could jump so high, you know,
no running start and
I’ll get to the ninth floor,
at least or maybe more
just tell me when, I’ll check the weather.
Maybe
I’ll design
sunglasses
that can show
ultraviolet.
See what bees see,
see how life is
without having to pretend I like it.
x2
Ivy: and lately I just cannot
pretend that I can not
befriending all my demons and turning slow into sandlot
counting every baseless assumption I need to shed
it’s swarming my concentration like honey bees in head.
My legs
heavy, sticky, with the linger in the summer
my stomach be growing wings when I get too close to a ledge
the edge be calling to me on the days I don’t get slumber
when numbering all my loves
help a roof instead
and just maybe what you see is uv rays
cause you teach my teeth to show their face
and you be my heart be still be smart be part of me don’t part
cause this park is lilacs so lie back and let’s count sheep
to drift to a place where we see uv
let’s drift to a place where we see uv
my ultraviolet love
I don’t know where I would go
without these feathers
I’d not reach the sun and melt right back to Earth
with lunar objects in my pockets.
I could jump so high, you know,
no running start and
I’ll get to the ninth floor,
at least or maybe more
just tell me when, I’ll check the weather.

07. PARAKEET

Every other weekend and every other Christmas Eve
Sunday lunch with the bees
"Love, can you please repeat?"
Money for ice cream
then once came the rabbit
share boredom with parakeets
"I hope you remember me”.
But I can't make this work
I can't make this work
I can't make this work this time
x2
Dad going out we can turn on the TV,
two mattresses on a queen to jump off and on a swing.
Gap between teeth - just like my second mother
and bumper cars in the sink
hottest summer I've seen
But I can't make this work
I can't make this work
I can't make this work this time
x2

08. HUMAN STUFF

Tie your sneakers
Shoes come untied
Walk on water you'll be fine again
Telling you that that’s how life is
eighty years of internship in hell.
I will never understand you,
walk on water you’ll be fun again
scared of people more than spiders
wishing things were changing for the best
Daily comedowns
Delay matters
I should call my parents after.
Hide in the bathtub
before the world ends
so I can wash away my fear of death.
Mourning the freezer
Hope I'm not dying soon,
appliances break fast
maybe I will too.
I'm getting old now,
I should work at a store
And look after my sisters and a bunch of other stuff
like pretending that i’m happy just with you in my arms.
I could see you on weekends anyway
I could be better, and I
I could come see you everyday if that works better for you
we’d be friends but anyway
I think that’s much better for us
saving aliens from human stuff
human stuff.
Tie your sneakers
Shoes come untied
Walk on water you'll be fine again
Always on the concrete, my love
won’t you take some risks why do you care?
I will never understand you
Walk on water you'll be fun again
Always hurting bout the world, love
won’t grow some balls and be a man
Tie your sneakers
Shoes come untied
Walk on water you'll be fine again
Telling you that that’s how life is
eighty years of internship in hell
I will never understand you,
walk on water you’ll be fun again
scared of people more than spiders
wishing things were changing for the best.

10. ELEPHANTS SING BACKWARDS

I'm looking forward to seeing you,
to meeting you
cause in a year or two you know it won't be so painful
I could drive you home, like I used to do
and float on traffic, maybe laugh a bit if that’s cool
So why don’t you come with me?
I've lost my mind for you my dear
You look so nice in your winged shoes
So why don’t you answer me?
Do elephants sing backwards here?
I’ll whistle for clouds they can take us to the stratosphere
But do elephants sing backwards here?
I'm looking forward to seeing you
glowing in my room,
a pretty jellyfish drawing graffiti on my foot,
I’ll put on a cape and a diving suit
before you know it we’ll be swimming crawl in hotel pools
So why don't you come with me?
I've lost my mind for you my dear
You look so nice in your flying shoes
So why don't you answer me?
Do elephants sing backwards here?
I’ll whistle for clouds, they can take us to the stratosphere.
But do elephants sing backwards here?

11. SPACE DOG

So if they’re really starting a world war
I swear I will take you so so far away
And I will take everyone with me
and fly a Ufo in outer space.
And we’ll be gone before they can reach us,
all that money won’t help them escape.
You know, I wish I could be a dog
and save this planet from the human race
Twenty-first century oh what a time to be alive.
